Flurbiprofen Ophthalmic Description:
Flurbiprofen ophthalmic for pets generic is a medication belonging to a class of drugs known as NSAIDs (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). These work by lowering the hormones that trigger pain and inflammation. Each ml of Flurbiprofen ophthalmic contains 0.3 mg of Flurbiprofen sodium, 2.5 mg of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, 0.02 mg nitrate and purified water.
Flurbiprofen Ophthalmic Uses:
Flurbiprofen is prescribed for the treatment of uveitis – a condition that causesinflammation of the eyes. This medicine is also used to prevent the pupil from getting constricted during eye surgery. The drug is meant to be used in dogs and cats.
How to Use Flurbiprofen Ophthalmic:
Before using the medicine for your pet, make sure that you get a copy of the manufacturer’s leaflet, which provides the dosing instructions. In case you have any doubts about dosing, ask the vet or pharmacist. You must administer Flurbiprofen to your pet exactly as your vet has recommended it.
